Jazmyne's Promise
We received Jazmyne’s PET scan results… and with full hearts we can finally say it…
Jazmyne is in remission!!!
Even more incredible, her body has fully embraced Joshua’s bone marrow, with engraftment at 99.1%. What a miracle we are witnessing right before our eyes.
This week has brought the kind of news that humbles you, stills you, and leaves you with nothing but gratitude. Every good report, every steady clinic visit…it all points us back to praising God for carrying us through what once felt unattainable.
Stepping outside the hospital walls has felt like a breath we didn’t realize we were holding. And yet, the exhaustion is real. Hospital life rewired everything late night vitals, 11 p.m. medications, midnight feeding frenzy..so now our days and nights are a little upside down. For this season, we’re choosing grace… allowing our bodies and minds the rest they’ve been longing for.
We will continue staying close to the hospital as we work toward the 100+ day milestone. When we have the energy, we’ve found joy in the simple things.. the quiet walks through museums and gardens, fresh air, moments that remind us there is life beyond these walls. Those moments have been so refreshing for all of us.
Jazmyne is still navigating some right leg discomfort as she relearns strength, and she’s also processing the weight of everything she’s been through. But little by little, conversation by conversation, we see her adjusting… healing in ways both seen and unseen.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever.”
Psalms 107:1 NLT
