Jazmyne enjoyed a good weekend and continues to feel well overall. The only concern has been low platelet levels, which required a transfusion.

On Friday, her oncologist informed us that the spinal tap performed on Monday detected some leukemia cells. Because of this, Jazmyne will undergo chemotherapy infusions via spinal tap for the next two weeks.

For clarification: IV (intravenous) chemotherapy reaches the bloodstream, while spinal chemotherapy targets the central nervous system (brain and spine), where leukemia cells can sometimes like to hide.

Jazmyne has now completed this round of chemotherapy, and we are entering the waiting phase. Her counts will first drop, and then her body will begin rebuilding toward normal levels.

We continue to trust in God’s perfect timing and healing power. As it says in Psalm 27:14 — “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” We know He is in control of this victory. 💛🙏🏽
