❤️ WELCOME HOME, HAYDEN! ❤️
It truly takes a village when an emergency arises—especially when it involves one of our own.
On August 18, 2026, Firefighter Perez was attending Fire Department training when he received the call no parent ever wants to receive: his children had been involved in an ATV accident.
His daughter, Hayden, was seriously injured and transported to the nearest hospital before being flown to a higher level of care. What followed were 30 long days in the hospital, multiple surgeries, countless prayers, and an incredible amount of strength and determination.
Today, after nearly 30 days, Hayden finally came HOME!
And what better way to welcome her home than surrounded by the first responders and community who have supported Hayden and the Perez family throughout this journey.
A heartfelt thank you to Austin County EMS, Austin County Sheriff’s Office, Cat Spring Volunteer Fire Department, San Felipe Police Department, San Felipe Frydek Volunteer Fire Department, Sealy Fire Department, Sealy Police Department and Wallis Volunteer Fire Department for coming together today.
This photo represents more than different uniforms, departments, and agencies. It represents a community. It represents family. It represents what “It Takes a Village” truly means.
Hayden, you have shown incredible strength through this journey, and there are so many people who have been praying for you and cheering you on.
From all of us—WELCOME HOME, HAYDEN! ❤️🚒🚑🚓
The road to recovery continues, but today we celebrate a very special milestone: HOME
