March is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month 💚

Before Harvie’s diagnosis, we didn’t fully understand what cerebral palsy really meant. We thought it had one specific look or one specific outcome. But what we’ve learned is that cerebral palsy can look different for every child.

Cerebral palsy happens when the brain has difficulty sending the right signals to the body. For many children, including Harvie, that can mean challenges with muscle tone, balance, coordination, and movement. Things like head control, sitting, crawling, standing, or walking can take a lot more time, practice, and determination.

What this journey has shown us most is just how incredibly strong and determined Harvie is.

Every milestone Harvie reaches represents hours of therapy, practice, encouragement, and perseverance. Things that may seem small to the outside world like holding her head up a little longer, sitting independently for a few seconds, or learning a new movement are huge victories worth celebrating.

Children with CP work harder than most people will ever realize. And yet they continue to show up every day with determination, resilience, and so much joy.

This month is about more than awareness. It’s about seeing children like Harvie for their strength, their determination, and their limitless potential. It’s about supporting families walking this journey and helping provide opportunities for therapies that can make a life changing difference.

We are so proud of our girl and the hard work she puts in every single day. Watching Harvie fight for every milestone has been one of the most humbling and inspiring experiences of our lives.

If there’s one thing this journey has taught us, it’s this.. Progress may look different, but it is always worth celebrating. 💚

If you’ve followed Harvie’s journey, prayed for her, shared our page, or supported her therapies in any way, please know how deeply grateful we are. Your support is helping give her opportunities to keep growing, learning, and reaching milestones we once only dreamed about.
