Harper's Recovery

Harper had a long night. She was battling her fever and decided she didn’t want to swallow her first few doses of Tylenol when she is typically a good medicine taker. We finally got a dose in and she was able to rest a bit.

Her hemoglobin and platelets dropped enough to require transfusions. Our oncologist discussed a plan with us today and based on her tough Chemo last week and no white blood cells she will need to stay inpatient until her counts start to recover which could be a week or longer.

She’s had moments of feeling better today. We had a visit from our Cure friends. She got to pick out a beanie baby which made my millennial heart happy. She has eaten a little bit( yay for Cracker Barrel sausage patties and Stoneyfield yogurt pouches) but her weight is down so we are going to start her on an appetite stimulant to try to get ahead of it.

We knew these last few cycle would be tough but we are all so tired and just ready to be done. We continue to appreciate the support.
