💛 Gabriel Update
Gabriel has a rare type of cancer called epithelioid sarcoma. In simple words, it’s a kind of soft tissue cancer that began as a tumor in his hand and has now shown up in his lungs.
Yesterday, he had blood work drawn for a special test that will study his exact type of cancer and see how 100 different therapies respond to it. This will help his doctors know which treatments may work best for him personally.
His new pain medication is helping — not a full fix, but it’s bringing some relief. He’ll be increasing the dose today to help a bit more.
His appetite has been incredible — it’s getting hard to keep up with how much he wants to eat, which is a wonderful sign.
He’s also sleeping more often at night, not deeply yet, but getting more rest than before.
Coming up, Gabriel will have an intense 5–6 day week of special therapy, and we’ll be there for that entire week. This will be one of two, possibly more, but one of two for now. The medication for the first week has been ordered and will need to be paid for before they can schedule it.
We have a wonderful team — new friends, a husband and wife — from the center Gabriel goes to twice a week, who’ve arranged for us to have a place to stay while we’re there all week. They’ve also helped, like so many of you, to raise funds and make this possible. Thank you so much, Jim and Sue! 💛
We appreciate everything that all of you are doing for our family — your prayers, encouragement, and support mean the world to us. I know some of you haven’t even met Gabriel, and yet your kindness, generosity, and donations have touched us deeply.
Please consider helping GTH by sharing this Support Now with your email list, your employer, your clients, your neighbors, your family, or your friends.
And thank you to every one of you who has shared this campaign — seriously, thank you! Your kindness is making a real difference. 💛
