Gabriel’s Journey Update
This past week, Gabriel showed incredible strength. Every single day he faced treatments head-on, doing everything asked of him — even when it was hard, even when it hurt. More than once he looked up and said, “I’m doing it… I don’t want cancer.”
We made it home Friday evening, just in time for his older brother’s playoff game and to see his little sister cheer. Gabriel found a spot on the hillside with friends, and even though he was worn out — sometimes needing to rest or be helped when walking — he was determined to be there. I couldn’t convince him to stay home and rest. He wanted to feel life happening around him, to hold on to the pieces of normal that remind him he’s still just a teenager with a big heart and a team to cheer for.
For now, he’s not scheduled for another full week of therapy until mid-December, unless his bloodwork on Tuesday changes that. Tomorrow we return to our usual Monday and Friday trips — long drives between Orlando and Fort Myers, long days that test us — but we keep going.
Through it all, we hold on to hope. We keep believing.
Gabriel’s courage continues to inspire everyone around him. He is strength, living and breathing.
Please keep standing with us — through your prayers, through sharing his story, through every donation and every word of encouragement. Each one truly matters.
Thank you for walking this road with us. God bless you all. 💛
