God's Grace provides Freedom

As I (Greg) wake up this morning, I reflect on the amazing grace of God and how He has covered our nation with one blessing after another. This Fourth of July we will be reminded of how our United States of America came to be the greatest country in the world. By the grace of God. Not wealth, not military strength, not economic power…all those are simply signs of God’s abounding grace. The Lord of Heaven sovereignly choses nations and leaders, and it's all by His grace.

As hard as the last ten months have been fighting cancer, we have seen God’s abounding grace. We have received incredible care both here at the Lynn Cancer Institute and at the Preston Tisch Brain Tumor Center in Durham, North Carolina.

Walking away from such a positive appointment in late May, confirming Greg’s tumors are shrinking, we gave (and continue to give) God the glory for His grace and healing. Greg has now completed his seventh round of chemotherapy. Friday, he will be completely weaned from one medication (he has been on since his first night in the hospital last August) and put on another.

In the last three weeks, Greg has seen more new doctors including a dermatologist and an orthopedic. The new team of doctors has done a great job of not neglecting any symptoms which need to be cared for.

We continue to be in awe of God’s great grace. You are part of His demonstration of amazing grace with your encouragement, support and prayers. We are very grateful for you! May you enjoy God’s grace and freedom this weekend!
