Though there are too many miracles to recount (and so many we will never know)…we wanted to share some of our miracles since our last update. Having completed Greg’s 12 rounds of chemotherapy (miracles to the 12th power), we had so looked forward to having a real family Thanksgiving. Michelle and Alan wanted to host us at their new home. All of the families from Florida, South Carolina and Virginia were making our way to them in North Carolina.
Greg passed out the Wednesday morning before Thanksgiving and hit his head. He ended up spending the next two nights in the hospital. It was sad not to be able to sit around Michelle and Alan’s table with all the family, but they were wonderful to bring plates and dishes of food to the hospital. They all visited throughout each day, which blessed us with visitors regularly. When Greg was released on Friday night the diagnosis was his blood pressure was low and he may have been fighting a virus and most probably was dehydrated.
Greg’s low blood pressure continues to keep us very connected. Apparently he is so tolerant of having low blood pressure, he has little warning (or none) before he is about to pass out. I am trying to encourage salty foods (like who doesn’t like waffle fries??) and electrolyte waters to stay hydrated.
As we wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas, we have another miracle to share. We have made the decision to relocate to Myrtle Beach…HOME! We will be home for Christmas. Though this was a sad decision to leave Drew, Kacie and the littles, a sad decision to leave friends and our church family, we knew it was the right decision.
Our doctors in Florida have encouraged us to focus our attention on our specialist care at Duke. As I mentioned in a previous post, Greg has said since his diagnosis, he wanted to be home. God has opened the doors and confirmed this relocation over and over. We are excited to be close to our girls, Alan and our moms.
As we wish you a Merry Christmas…we feel your prayers have been the catalyst of these miracles and have been heard as we celebrate a second Christmas since Greg’s diagnosis. Truly a Christmas Miracle. In fact…Thursday as we celebrate the birth of the adored King of Kings, we will celebrate the miracle of 40 Christmases together!
We believe you too are on our Miracle list this Christmas. We have needed each of you as you have prayed for Greg. We will celebrate the greatest miracle of the birth of the Lord Jesus at Home in Myrtle Beach. Merry Christmas with all our love! j

Merry Christmas!!

The taste of God’s indescribable gift can be found in fellowship with the body of Christ. I am continuing to pray and ask the Lord for a door to open for a visit. It’s been far too long. Thank you for being a blessing these many, many years.
