Grasley's Journey
Good afternoon, everyone π€ I want to share a deeper part of our story with you.
When we received the call about Grasley, we were told she had Schizencephaly β a rare brain condition where a cleft forms in the brain. Every case is different, and it was incredibly difficult to find information about what her specific future might look like.
We prayed and asked God for guidance, and He gave us the peace to say yes to adopting our girl.
When we arrived at the hospital and saw her MRI for the first time, we were shocked to learn that nearly half of her brain was missing. Doctors prepared us for the worst β that she would most likely be blind, paralyzed, and that seizures, if they developed, could be life-threatening.
But God had other plans.
Today, she sees. She runs. And her epilepsy has been controlled for almost two years. She is truly a walking miracle, and we are endlessly thankful for the ways God continues to move in her life.
We are committed to giving her every opportunity to thrive. That means continuing intensive therapies and specialized treatments to help her reach her fullest potential. These interventions are life-changing β but they come with significant financial costs.
