Glen
Glen has officially finished this round of chemotherapy, and we’re so thankful to share that he tolerated it well. Despite the tough days, he’s still been able to enjoy time with family and even a few playdates with friends. One of the highlights was a special trip to the zoo with just Mom and Dad, where he lit up seeing all the animals. Those moments of normalcy mean so much to all of us.
On Tuesday, August 26, Glen had a G-Tube placed. For those who may not know, a G-Tube is a small tube that goes directly into his stomach, allowing him to receive nutrition and medicine more comfortably and reliably. It’s been placed in anticipation of his upcoming hospital stay and is not something he currently needs, but it’s an important step in making sure he’s supported for the road ahead.
Tomorrow, September 3, Glen will have a bone marrow biopsy. The results of this test will guide our next steps and determine whether we’re able to move forward with his bone marrow transplant. We’re hopeful and holding close to the encouragement, prayers, and support from all of you.
