Gianna‘s amazing doc is Dr. Amanda Ryskowski. She has specialized training in everything we need for our girl and we had the privelage of spending a generous amount of time with her and her family while at the pediatric brain injury conference in Austin back in October. For any doubters, or curious minds, her qualifications are:
- NMD (Naturopathic Medical Doctor): A doctor trained in a 4-year graduate naturopathic medical school, focusing on holistic, non-toxic approaches, disease prevention, and optimizing wellness, with a strong emphasis on the body's self-healing ability.
- RMSK (Regenerative Medicine Specialist/Certified): Certification indicating expertise in using regenerative therapies, such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or stem cells, often for musculoskeletal pain and injuries, as part of interventional orthopedics.
- CBIS (Certified Brain Injury Specialist): A certification for professionals who provide specialized care for individuals with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), focusing on recovery, rehabilitation, and cognitive support.
