August? Its really August?
We were so hoping to report that the vent was out... but maybe tomorrow. There are still some signs of swelling, so we're hopeful that extubation is tomorrow, so George will be vent free.
Everything else is working and healing the way its supposed to, especially the LVAD. Getting the tube out is another hurdle that has to be crossed before all of George's energy can be focused on healing.
