a few steps

Big day!!! George took his first steps in over 12 days! The first two days, he could stand up, but when he would try to walk his pressure would drop and he would nearly pass out. They adjusted his meds a bit and today he not only cruised the hallway, but he took a break, got back up and walked back to his room.

And... the swan catheter is out of his neck. They've removed all external oxygen support and removed 15 of the 16 IV drips!! He is now taking more of those meds orally.

Kitty has been doing LVAD 'school' and has the cool scrubs for it.
