Lift transfer

Good morning! This is my first update on this page and I want to share first thing I’m going to do for Gage is to get more track lift installed in our home and a seated lift sling for him. We are at the point of the lift becoming very necessary. This stings a little as his mama to admit that we’re here.  I have resisted the lift out of, well, denial but also I just hate the idea of Gage sitting on a sling 24/7. It can cause skin breakdown/pressure wounds and is also hot. Yesterday, at a work training, I was introduce to the knowledge that a seated application sling exists! A very nice man who was teaching that portion of our training gave me a sample sling (it’s a bit big but can allow us to try it). This would be perfect as it can be applied while he’s seated and doesn’t have to stay underneath him at all times to be used, therefore removing the issues previously named. I want to thank everyone so very much for sharing his page and for the generosity of donating!! The sense of community for him in this warms my heart!! 💜
