Hi there friends and Gage supporters!
We are on Fall break and enjoying a slower paced life for a few days. Today is an exciting day as we are receiving some much needed equipment! Today Gage gets his new bed that we were told insurance would deny. They didn’t!!!! I found a bed that was perfect for Gage, did all the basic things we needed and doesn’t look like a hospital bed. Also, it was likely in our favor that it was less expensive that some. We also will get a hoyer lift today and a seated lift sling.
We are at a stage in Gage’s journey where he’s growing (meaning healthy, so yay!), but his equipment is getting bigger too. Formal dining room? Nope, more like equipment storage room. But hey that’s ok. Here is the catch. We are going to have to widen several door ways! We recently got his new activity chair for home. And I feel like I’m driving a boat. Or maybe an Escalade. lol. Point being, I was shocked when it wouldn’t fit through our doorways! So here we are. We are at this point in line where we need to modify our home. I’m still figuring out the ways as we go but with our economy, everything is expensive. I want to thank EVERY SINGLE person who has donated to Gage’s support now. Every donation big or small is so heartwarming and helpful! You have no idea how much it means to feel people rally around Gage in that way. We love you and will keep you updated. I’ve started a tik tok, (a bit out of my comfort zone), to share bits of our life. I particularly wanted to be able to share the ways that ALL donations are helping Gage in his life.
