Sorry it’s been a while since the last update. Gabriel had kind of a roller coaster kind of week. He was having some tummy trouble so they did an X-ray on Monday. It showed moderate constipation so they gave him a bunch of meds to “clean him out”. Tuesday he felt ok but couldn’t get out of bed because of all the medicine making him go to the bathroom. Wednesday and Thursday were pretty good days. He worked on transferring himself with a slide board from bed to wheelchair or wheelchair to mat in the gym. He worked a little in his manual chair too. Friday we were back to tummy trouble, X-ray and lots more meds.
He had a fantastic day today though! Some friends came up for a visit and brought him a basket of his favorite snacks. He had the best time visiting with them. Then we hung out with family at the apartment this afternoon and all went to Mellow Mushroom for dinner. Tons of our friends and family participated in a golf tournament today to benefit Gabe and our family. The turnout was incredible and from what I hear everyone had a great time. We are so thankful for all of the hours of hard work and planning that went into putting it together. We will never be able to thank everyone enough that has helped our family through this process. The love is immeasurable.

Jonathan and I swapped places this last week for a few days. He came to Atlanta Wednesday morning and I went home Wednesday afternoon. I got a lot done at home that needed to be done. They came and poured the ramp for the front door on Thursday and I got the garage cleaned out for his ramp going in there. I got to spend some of Friday visiting with people at school before heading back up to Atlanta. I know it may sound weird but Gabe and I both can’t wait to be back at school! Jonathan had some time to go start looking at vans and options for transportation. It’s such a difficult place to be in. We are still absolutely praying and BELIEVING in a miracle but practically we have to prepare for right now. We have been told tentatively we will be discharged from inpatient on 9/24 and move over to day program (outpatient). That is right next door to shepherd center and we will likely be there an additional 2-4 weeks. They really encourage families to go home on the weekends once in day program. So we’re trying  to prepare for that while keeping hope that he will one day not need any of the things we’re doing!
We did discover this weekend that he can feel pressure in ALL 5 toes on his left foot!! I think that’s the only new sensation to report.

Please continue to pray and BELIEVE with us that he is going to be fully and miraculously healed. Please pray that the therapies and treatments he’s doing are restoring those nerve pathways and will bring new sensations soon. Please pray for us and the other kids. We’re all a little weary (esp Jonathan and myself). Being apart is hard. We love you all. Thank you for surrounding our family in so much love and covering us in prayer.
Lyrics to a song I’ve been listening to over and over: “In the waiting, You get the glory. In the healing, You get the glory. In the breaking, You get the glory. In the break-through, You get the glory.” We do give You, God all the praise and glory!!

September 4, 2026 Giving all honor, praise, glory and thanksgiving to God the Father and our Lord and Savior, Yeshua HaMashiach for God is great, and greatly to be praised! Amen! Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you family and friends, I'm Ms. Mary, "Mother Mary," of Charlotte NC; and I subscribe to ShalomMacon online. I am a Christian who was lead to learn more about Israel’s community, culture, and beliefs; then I found Rabbi Damian Eisner online and was impressed with his approach, enthusiasm and clarity in teachings of the Good News Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Yeshua HaMashiach, "Jesus Christ;" Then one Sabbath, on a July weekend, I was watching online and I could see and feel heaviness on Rabbi Eisner, that he wasn't his usual enthusiastic self; then later in the sermon Rabbi shared the unfortunate accident that happen to his nephew, Gabriel “Gabe” after a dive that left him paralyzed; then he ask people to pray for Gabriel and his family; and my heart cried out to the Lord for the young man’s recovery. Now a couple of months have passed, so I desire an update on Gabriel’s progress, in the hope for great news; And I am amazed at the improvement: feeling in toes, picking up cups, sitting in mobile seat, neckcuff removed, more feeling here, movement there, a switch here, and pain there and everywhere, etc. is all increase. **Psalm 34:4 I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. **Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. Therefore, we count it all joy and continue in prayer and supplication, standing in agreement for a miraculous, supernatural complete healing in Gabriel, trusting that he will bear an astounding testimony of courage, perseverance and unwavering faith that our God is still in the healing business, that He is great! And He is worthy of our praise. הַלְלוּיָה" ” Hallelujah!! **Keep growing from where you are, Gabriel, forward motion, one step at a time, Until you are in full stride** God bless you all to be prayerful, thankful, forgiving, kind and faithful in this season, in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach “Jesus Christ.” Amen.
