Update 8/15!!

Gabriel "Gabe" Eisner and Family

Gabe’s week started out really rough. He started a new antibiotic last Sunday for the UTI. He was nauseated and super fatigued most of the day Monday and Tuesday. Then Wednesday he vomited and felt absolutely miserable all day. We think he likely had a bad reaction to that antibiotic. They switched it Wednesday night and he has been SO much better!! Thursday and Friday were GREAT days!

He was finally able to get into his manual wheelchair on Thursday! He’s already doing so well in it. He worked on a lot of fine motor skills with his hands.

The most exciting news is he is having some more sensation come back!! It always seems to happen on Friday night/Saturday morning so we have to “sit on it” all weekend, haha! He can feel deep pressure in 3 out of 4 quadrants in his abdomen. Previously he stopped feeling anything about 6” below his nipple line. Also, he’s started having some sensation in bladder and bowel functions. Not enough yet to change his status but we’re believing this is only the beginning. This is so huge and we would be so thankful if you all would continue to pray and believe with us for more of these sensations to come back! We are so encouraged and know God is working!!
