Goodness, it’s been almost a week since the last update. I’m sorry!!

Overall he had a great week last week! No major drops in BP, and worked so hard in therapy. He’s learning a lot more about how to be more independent and loving it!!

He can now hold a cup with only his right hand and only his left hand and he’s mostly feeding himself! Both hands are making such progress!! He’s drinking out of bottles and cups with no straw…still a little tricky with the collar on but he’s doing it! He got fitted for a manual wheelchair last week and will hopefully start getting to use that one the beginning of this week!

He’s been on a couple of outings with the therapists, 1 to a bakery and 1 to target!

He is scheduled to have another CT scan on 8/17 to see if they feel comfortable with him coming out of the collar completely. He does still have a uti so they’ve started a different antibiotic. Please pray this one works and he gets rid of it completely!

I know this update might not sound like much to anyone not here day to day but he really is making so much progress. His body awareness and core strength have come so far!

We had our big medical conference with his doctor here last Tuesday and overall it was very positive. He seemed impressed with all the progress he had made in just 1 month since the injury.

We love you all so much! Please keep praying and BELIEVING for big/miraculous things to happen.

Praise the Lord! This is all great news. May he continue to strive for strength. I pray for his character to be refined and matured in a way that honors His Father above. It is often the difficult things we go through that change our hearts the most. Thanks to all his family supporting him so thoroughly.
