Update 7/14:

In support of
Gabriel "Gabe" Eisner and Family

Very slow quiet easy day today. It was so needed.

He worked hard with PT/OT sitting up on the side of the bed working on core strength. Then they used a lift to get him in the wheelchair! He was able to sit in that for 15-20 min and get out of his room for a little bit! We strolled around the halls of his floor and sat out in the lobby of his floor for a little bit looking out the big windows.

Samuel finally got to see him and us!! He has been on a trip with his best friend since the day of the accident.

We have transfer orders for 10:00 tomorrow morning! Neurosurgery will have to round and sign off and then we’re out of here and on to Shepherd Center.

Please continue to pray for Gabriel and us but also our other kids. They are missing us and it’s so hard.

Matthew 11:28-30: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

I watch for your updates daily. Gabriel and the whole family are in my prayers daily and even in the middle of the night when wake up. It is a blessing that he was able to see Samuel you can tell by the smiles of joy on their faces.,

Praise God! Sitting edge of bed and chair transfers are so big—and then being able to leave the room for 20 min!!! Gabe, you rock! (Speaking as a PT who once upon a time worked with patients like you in long term acute care) Yay for getting to connect with friends and also brother Samuel! Praying over your transfer to Shepherd and getting settled there. Praying for rest tonight and pain/med management as you transition.
