Writing this comes with a lot of prayer.
Raising a child with special needs is a calling we did not choose lightly, yet one God entrusted to us. It is a journey marked by deep love, unwavering faith, and moments where we are reminded how much we depend on Him — and on the kindness of others.
Our son Gabriel has ongoing medical and nutritional needs. One of his daily requirements is PediaSure, which helps support his growth and health. At four bottles a day, this alone comes to about $280 each month.
In addition, we navigate:
- Frequent therapies with $100 copays per visit
- Specialty medical appointments with additional copays
- Travel costs for appointments, therapies, and care (these are about 2 hours away one way)
- Increased grocery needs due to specialized nutrition
We share this not from a place of complaint, but from a place of honesty.
Caring for a special needs child is both a blessing and a heavy responsibility — one that requires strength, endurance, and constant faith.
We are not asking for handouts.
We are asking for prayer, encouragement, and for those who feel led by God to walk alongside us during this season.
