New Equipment!

In support of
Everett Strong

We got a stander! It is an old one, but it is on loan through early intervention so we are so lucky to get to use it. It is new equipment for us to help Everett with weight bearing. This is important because it helps his muscles and bones grow strong. It looks like torture, and Everett might agree! However, it gives him support everywhere he needs without forcing his body anywhere it's not comfortable.
We also want to share that Everett has been officially diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is a condition that affects how someone moves and controls their muscles. Even though this news is hard to hear, it is also a way to open doors. We hope it brings more help and support for Everett through therapies, grants, etc.
We also got a new stroller that has amazing support for his lower torso. With the low muscle tone he would slump to one side. I got creative and propped him up, but this is a major upgrade! Everett seems so much more comfortable and tolerates longer walks. He loves to be outside, so this is a big win.
Also, take a look at that hair! Sometimes he is king of the cockatoos.
We are so grateful for our amazing family, friends, and community. Your love and support give Everett lots of chances to succeed. Thank you for being with us on this journey!
