In the disability world you hear the term “inchstones” more often than milestones. These brain injury babies have to fight for the tiniest improvements that you might miss completely in a typical baby. We find and hold onto any change in behavior like it’s gold because it is.
Thanks to the support and donations we have been able to bring a hyperbaric oxygen tank into our home for daily HBOT dives. This has been a game changer for our Everett. Since we started HBOT therapy daily we have noticed a dramatic change in his muscle tone. He has improved tone in his torso making it easier to hold/handle him. His neck control and being able to hold is head up has improved. His ability to hold his weight and stay standing (with support) has exponentially improved. He even is starting to figure out his balance when seated and standing and doesn’t need as much help.
Now to the MILESTONE! Everett has rolled from belly to back a grand total of 3 times! That is huge for him. His OT and I both cried the first time it happened we are so proud of him.
We just cannot express how deeply grateful we are for the help you have all given us. Because of you we are able to provide Everett every chance for success. You are changing his life!
We have a big announcement coming up, but have to get everything confirmed!
