David's Therapy & Equipment Update
We wanted to share some exciting progress David has made and where your support is helping make a difference.
David currently attends weekly Physical Therapy (PT) and Occupational Therapy (OT) every Wednesday. His therapy team is focused on improving his strength, balance, mobility, posture, and independence.
So far, we have completed measurements and ordered:
• AFOs (Ankle-Foot Orthotics) to help support his feet and improve standing and walking alignment.
• Custom hand splints to help with positioning, function, and preventing contractures.
• A Tomato Seat, which will provide proper positioning and support during daily activities.
David is also currently participating in a gait trainer trial. This specialized equipment helps children learn weight-bearing, balance, and stepping skills. If the trial is successful, we hope to obtain a gait trainer for him to use regularly.
In addition, his therapy team is recommending an SPIO back brace to provide trunk support, improve posture, and help him develop better core strength and stability.
Every piece of equipment and every therapy session is another step toward helping David reach his full potential. At just 3 years old, he is in a critical period of neuroplasticity, where intensive therapy and proper equipment can make a tremendous difference in his development.
Thank you for following David's journey, believing in him, and supporting his progress. Every donation, share, and prayer helps us continue fighting for the therapies, equipment, and opportunities he needs to thrive.Right now, David is working hard on improving his neck strength, trunk (core) support, balance, and posture. These skills are the foundation for sitting independently, standing, walking, and participating more actively in daily life. His therapists are focusing on helping him develop the strength and stability needed to hold his head up consistently, maintain his balance, and build the core muscles required for greater independence. Every therapy session and piece of adaptive equipment brings him one step closer to reaching these goals.
