Thank you so much to so many for lifting me up in encouragement and prayers. Interceding on my behalf is a gift and one of the most powerful things. Thank you!
The surgery went well on Tuesday and lasted two hours. My surgeon removed the tumor along with 2 lymph nodes. And I’ll have the pathology results during my post op in 2 weeks to learn if the cancer has spread to my lymph nodes.
My medical team with Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota included a powerhouse of women nurses and surgeon, and two of which have or had cancer themselves, and have gone through surgeries and treatment and all the things, so they know what it’s like to be on the other side. Also one of them is a part of this women anglers group and she made the connection for me to tap in. My dream of learning to fish might just come to fruition.
I’m back home, my mom took work off to stay with me and has been serving me around the clock, my sisters Christianna Joy Ross + Shalom Mui + Ariel Grace have been over with food and plants, and I’ve been resting.
My out of office email has been in place, my Microsoft Outlook & Teams notifications have been silenced, and I’ve got the most supportive Board who stepped up to run our Board Meeting this week. THANK YOU to each and every one of you who’ve reached out, supported me in so many ways, and are in my corner. I’ve truly got the best people surrounding me. I love you.
Earlier this week, my dad reminded me that when I was born, my mom and I shared the number 7777 on our matching hospital medical bracelets. 7, the number of completion or perfection. It’s His plan, not mine. Isaiah 43:19.
He never promised we wouldn’t endure hardship. He never promised our journey wouldn’t be difficult. But He did promise to never leave us nor forsake us. Throughout scripture “do not fear” and “trust in the Lord” are woven throughout text. “but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Romans 5:4
We’re in the character building stage so I know I’m coming out stronger.
