The results are in from Blakely’s day +30 Bone Marrow Aspirate… our girl is officially 100% mama cells and has no evidence of Leukemia! 🤗👏🏼🥹🧡
This is great and exciting news but it doesn’t mean the fight is over! She is still on 11 daily meds and we are still on-watch for GVHD and other complications that can happen post transplant. We will continue to do everything we can to keep her healthy as she’s still very immunocompromised. Soon we will start weaning her off some meds when the time is right. Day +60 (October) and day +100 (November) she will have repeat bone marrow aspirates to make sure she stays at 100% mama cells and cancer free!
We have been home since Monday and it has been absolutely amazing being together as a family of 4. The girls have been playing together constantly and it makes my mama heart so happy hearing them play Barbies and giggling together. We start homeschooling this week and I’m excited for the opportunity to be home with both my girls teaching them!!
We had a drive by welcome home parade, and it was so incredible to see the many faces of the people who have been cheering us on and praying for us since the beginning. It was such a special feeling! Just the best!! So thank you to everyone that was able to make it, and all of those who wish they could have made it. 🫶🏼
