Up First: Bilateral Mastectomy

Emily Powers

Emily's bilateral mastecomy has been scheduled for this Tuesday morning, April 23rd. She has full confidence in her medical team, and is eager to have all the cancer removed from her body.

She will recover for about one month from this incredibly difficult surgery, then her port surgery will be scheduled in preperation for her chemotherapy treatments this summer.

We will provide an update here once the surgery has been successfully completed. Thank you for praying for Emily as she prepares her heart and mind this weekend for Tuesday's surgery, and for the surgeon's wisdom as he ensures all cancer is removed to the best of his ability.
