Elise's Miracle Journey
From Elise's first diagnosis at the start of her journey at 1 week old until now, she has shown just how strong she is. She is so strong, so brave, so persistent, determined and she never gives up! Shes such an amazing little girl! Going through this surgery one year ago was so hard physically, mentally and emotionally. We are beyond thankful for those before the surgery to help us fuel Elise's body naturally until surgery. Because of that, and the grace of God her malformation did not rupture. This surgery was the turning point to allow Elise's brain to heal after and now we can fuel it with all the new things we have.
Today is an emotional day thinking about how scary that day was a year ago but we were so blessed to be in such a wonderful facility! A year ago, the time leading up to surgery, during surgery and recovery, it was definitely a "Faith it 'til you make it" time. We put our faith in God. We didn't know how it would work out but we trusted God that it would.
I thank God today, and every day for how far Elise has come on her journey and all the blessings she has experienced and the blessing she is to those around her! Because of what we have gone through and experienced, we have been able to bless others with information and resources to help them on their journeys. Keep defeating the odds baby girl- keep proving them wrong! 🩷💪
I share because for anyone who has or is going through the emotional trauma of watching your child fight hard- I see you, I pray for you. I pray for that child. You are not alone.
I will say this 1000 times over. Take care of your body, you only get one. Some are fighting with all their might for the one that they have!
[Some areas on the photos are hidden for Elise's privacy but want to share how raw the journey really is. (Photos on right are before/PICU. Rest are how great she's doing today!) When you aren't living it, it's easy to overlook but the worry, stress, more sleepless nights can you can imagine, therapies, decision making, scheduling appts, fighting with insurance, surgeries, scans- all the things, it's a constant weight. Please pray for those on a difficult/hard/stressful journey.]
As always, thank you for your continuous support and prayers! We appreciate every single one of them
