Elaine Dionne
Elaine has finished with her 1st week of intensive therapies. The therapists at NAPA were very happy to see how she has progressed since April. Their goals are the same as last time; to work on sitting, standing, crawling, and head control. This is definitely a tortoise race, but we can see improvements after and in-between every intensive we do.
NAPA of Charlotte offers intensive therapies; which is Physical, occupational, speech, and feeding therapies all together in one package. Elaine does 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 3 weeks on a row. These therapies are meant to push her from one milestone to another since normal therapies are only once a week. Unfortunately, these therapies are usually not covered by insurance, and can cost 10k just for the therapies themselves; not to mention living expenses. Any help would be much appreciated, from donations to a Facebook like/share. They recommend we do 3 of these a year for the first 4 years if we can manage it.
