Eiley’s Growing Independence

Over the last couple of months, we've really started to see Eiley's independence reach a whole new level, and it has been so encouraging to watch. 😭

With the help of furniture, she can now get herself all the way from lying down to standing up!🙌🏽 Watching her figure out how to do this on her own has been incredible.

We've had so many moments lately that have left us amazed. One day she was playing in my room, and when I walked back to check on her, she had made her way all the way to her own room! Another time, I left her playing on the floor in her room. When I came back to check on her, she was standing and making her way around the room, using the walls for support as she walked. 🤯

These moments may seem small to some, but for our family, they represent countless hours of hard work, therapy, persistence, and hope. This is exactly what we've been working toward, and it's so exciting to see everything starting to click.

Eiley is beginning to realize, "If I want that toy, I can move to go get it." She's learning to use all the skills she's worked so hard to develop—her own "tool belt," so to speak—and put them together to gain more independence and mobility every day.

Watching her confidence grow as she discovers what she's capable of has been one of the greatest joys. We are so proud of her, and we're incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported her journey. Every milestone reminds us that all the hard work is making a difference.
