As I posted yesterday, we have our hearing date that is scheduled tomorrow. We will finally have the judge review the bond request and once it is posted, we will pay and have my dad released as soon as possible.
It has been a quite difficult and mentally taxing journey, but with your help I feel that not only was I able to help raise the funds to help my dad, but that many caring people have grated us their generosity and spread the word about the cruel reality many immigrants and non-citizens are currently facing. As many of you might know, even people who have been granted permanent residency, citizenship, and even naturalization are at risk of losing everything based on arbitrary changes to the law.
I hope that tomorrow we will finally secure my dad's freedom and that justice will be on our side. I will adjust the donation goal based on the outcome of the bond, please feel free to keep donating to help us with the legal fees, and please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
