Wednesday a.m. Dom had a follow up with Dr Handa, the retina surgeon, who removed the lens and performed the vitrectomy said everything looks great.
Eye pressure was at 12. Definitely an improvement.
All drugs and drops for pressure discontinued.
Dr Handa talked about research he and colleagues are working on. He encouraged Dom to proceed with the next surgery to be in the best position possible when these new technologies become available.
A follow up with the surgeon who inserted the drain is scheduled for today (Friday) Hoping he has good news as well. (Will provide an update)
The balance of yesterday was a rest day. As will be today.
Dom is feeling decent. A bit of ache in the eye and tired. The stitches in his eye are the most irritating, something he will have to tolerate for about a week until they resolve. So thankful for a quiet day to relax.
The plan is to get home on Saturday. Whether that means breaking the trip up between Friday and Saturday, or motor through on Saturday.
Keep Dom in your thoughts 💕
