Greetings,

Just wanted to share today’s update on our girl DeeDee, thanks to her mama Kem and the care team. 

She’s been doing a little more moving around — sitting up, walking with help, and doing her best to stay upright even while her pain is still very real. She’s showing up and pushing through (with some fussing, but she earned it). 

The not-so-fun part? Her stomach is pretty swollen around the area where her drainage tubes are, and unfortunately, the team can’t remove them yet — she’s still draining fluid that needs to come out. And although the plan was to remove her central line today, that’s been postponed. She’d need to lay flat on her back for an hour to do it safely, and with the pain she’s in, that’s just not happening right now. 

Still, the care team is on it. They’re adjusting her meds, monitoring closely, and keeping her safe while she continues to heal. 

Please keep covering her in prayer and love. She’s making progress — not always quickly, not always quietly — but she’s still moving forward.
