Greetings Family!

It’s been a while since we’ve posted an update but there has been so ups and downs.

Do to other health related issues, DeeDee was removed for the donor transplant list for 6 months. Despite this, she has continued to fight.

During the past holidays, she was hospitalized from November 29th until December 24th with heart related complications, pneumonia, gastroparesis, and other complications.

Once she was released, we were told she would have to stay out of the another three months and get reevaluated before being reviewed to return to the transplant list. But because of the God we serve, she was placed back on the list two weeks.

Well, At 6:26am on the morning of February 14th she got a call saying that I could possibly get my kidney and pancreas transplant today from a deceased donor. She almost didn’t answer because thought who would be calling her that early!?!? Unfortunately the pancreas wasn’t a good fit for her,  so she couldn’t get the kidney either.
With that being said, she anxiety currently is at an all time high. Today she said she thinks she’s not prepared and scared.

She said, “I could get these transplants any day now. This is my second time getting the call, however the first time they called i was prepared. This time i am not. Kem Barr and Mgd Terry kept telling me not to worry but MY ANXIETY has me in shambles. This headache I’ve had all day worrying is not fun. The anticipation leading up to this transplant is an emotional roller coaster however, I know God has me covered.

Prayers goes out to the person who lost their life today & to their family. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Become a donor. Help save a life. 🧡
