Deana's Cancer Journey
Went to the Scottdale clinic to get labs and mri. The woman in labs was funny. She knew my poor arm was beat up when in the hospital so she wanted to take blood from my hand. She warmed it up and asked me to forgive her that it will hurt a little. I laughed and told her she doesn't need to ask for forgiveness. She did a good job making it as painless as possible.
When it was time for the IV to be put in, the young lady did a great job. The mri took about 45 minutes. They gave me foam ear plugs and then the headphones over that. They asked me what type of music I wanted I told them 80s. The sounds of the machine weren't as loud as the last time. The meds the neurologist gave me worked well with calming me down. I kept my eyes closed as soon as they were putting the head cage over me. The whole time I was thanking God for another day and the many things I am grateful for. I went on to think about my favorite scriptures, proverbs, songs, etc that help me stay grounded and my mind positive.
Mike and I had to drive to the Phoenix campus so I could see the oncologist. As I went onto my Mayo app I noticed they made an appointment for me to have treatment tomorrow. I cancelled it right away. They made that same appointment a few days ago and I cancelled it. When I seen the oncologist we talked about my hospital stay, how I am feeling, and then she opened the MRI results. The mass went from 17mm to 15mm we both were really happy. I have only had 4 treatments of the Enhertu plus all the supplements I take, going in the sauna, ozone therapy, high dose IV vit C, detox ionizing foot baths, and red light mat I put on different areas of my body. Not only that the prayers that I do daily and others that pray for me. I believe in the power of prayer and holding positive thoughts about someone.
Shelley (PA oncologist) asked me if I've had headaches, pain, etc. I told her that I haven't had a headache like I used to. In fact since finding out about the mass I haven't had anything really. I woke up with my neck stiff and a slight ache but once I was up and moving around it went away. Miracles happen everyday and I plan on being one of those patients that has an amazing testimony!
I didn't sleep well Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Benny had a seizure and then a few hours later Freddie (female cat) was having asthma issues. I kept paying attention to her breathing because she kept coughing. I went to bed at 8pm and slept until 4:30. I was still tired but Freddie's breathing was acting up again. Her asthma is triggered by food. So far I know it is fish, I am thinking chicken is the next triggering foods.
I'm making sure to eat healthy, drink healthy herbal teas, and take certain supplements to cleanse my system of the contrast I was given yesterday. I am finding I am tired today. I don't usually take a nap but I might need to today.
I noticed in my blood work that my white blood cells are going up. I want to give my body as much white blood cells as possible when I have treatment on 2-6. I need to go to my PCP so we can do my thyroid and other tests.
love to all :)
