Deana's Cancer Journey
I had a really good week. My energy is up and I have been able to do more activities without having to stop because of fatigue, dizziness, or nausea. I attribute it to the iv vitamin C. I only have one more. I applied for long term disability so praying it goes through so I can continue doing the therapies that do work!! I wish healthcare would get with the program and insurance would cover the therapies that strengthen and contribute to healing.
Poor Benny needs a dental badly. I know he has a few infected teeth. He went to the vet yesterday but she didn't give him an antibiotic, I explained our situation and told her I called a vet that does dentals cheaper. I have to be careful because he has seizures. He had one Tuesday morning. I have him on CBD oil and it really works well for him, it has lessened how long they last and how often. The vet said as long as he goes every 3-4 months she doesn't want to put him on medication because it causes liver issues. The company used to send the bottle every 3 weeks but now it is monthly. That's not enough so I need to call them and see if they can send it every 3 weeks again. I also need to call around to agencies to see if they can help us with the dental cost. I can't ask Brandon because he is paying off $3,000 for Slash, his hours at work have been cut. He is wanting to become an electrician so he's been looking into schooling. He needs to get a car so he has some figuring things out to do.
I had an echocardiogram on Monday. Everything looks good. I have to have it done every 3 months because Enhertu can cause damage. I always pray that my body is protected and the chemo does it's job on the cancer and no damage.
Treatment is tomorrow. I didn't have benadryl last time and I didn't pass out for as long as I have in the past. I am going to ask that they lower how long the iv drip is for the enhertu. It was 90 minutes but am asking for 30 minutes. I get hydration before the pre-meds which takes like an hour. I have to be at Mayo by 7:30, dr appt at 9:45, then treatment at 10:15. If the treatment is 3 hours that is a long day. I have scans on Tuesday so let's pray it shows the cancer is going away!
Have a great day! Love to all. :)
