Unfortunately, David was super tired all day yesterday and woke up last night with a fever. We had to go to the emergency room and he was admitted again to the transplant floor.

He's had a number of labs and scans to identify the source of the fever and his elevated heart rate. They have ruled out any blood clots, pockets of fluid that haven't drained from surgery, and numerous other things. Some labs are still pending that we will get over the next few days. They are treating him with IV antibiotics and fluids, and he'll stay another night to continue to monitor his fever and heart rate. 

It is his birthday today so it was unfortunate timing to be readmitted. He's a trooper for sure! We made the best of it and had the kids visit for a short time this afternoon! He's stuck on a low fat diet from a lymphatic leak post surgery... so we'll be sure to get a superior dessert to angel food cake once this is all behind us to celebrate!
