From Ashley:
Daniel is now home on hospice care.
On Thursday I had to make the most difficult decision of my life with Daniel’s doctors and medical team. I had to make the decision I know he needed me to make and that was to get him out of the hospital and bring him home to hospice care to our children to the place that is his favorite place in the world under our roof in our house that is full of love and memories, where our children can hold his hands, give him hugs, tell them they love him, that we can hold him, have his Chester at his feet, surrounded by unconditional love and care from family and friends.
Cooper was told after his game Thursday and he helped me Friday morning tell Dietrich and Stella that Daddy’s heart and soul are so strong and full of so much love for us that his body has fought so hard for so long that it just can’t get better. That he will be home with us until it’s his time to go to heaven.
