I’m sharing something deeply personal, and honestly, not something I ever imagined having to write.
I’ll be honest - today has been especially difficult. I just found out that I lost my job, and it’s added another layer of uncertainty to an already heavy season. Right now, being surrounded by the kindness, encouragement, and presence of friends and family matters more than ever.
Many of you also know that my wife Dana has been courageously fighting brain cancer. She continues to show a strength that humbles me every single day. Through all of this, we’ve leaned heavily on the love and support of the people around us - and it’s meant more than I can put into words.
On June 4th from 6–9pm, there will be a charity dinner held at one of our favorite places, Salt & Acres, in Dana’s honor. It’s an evening meant to bring people together - good food, community, and support for someone who means everything to me.
If you feel moved to join us, you can find details and tickets below or donate here.

To help put things into perspective, each trip for Dana to continue receiving life-saving treatment at Duke requires a flight and at least a one-night stay. On average, that cost is around $1,500 per visit due to the rising prices of airfare, car rentals / Ubers, & housing - expenses that unfortunately aren’t covered by insurance. We’re doing everything we can to keep up with this, and it adds up quickly.
If anyone has United or Marriott miles they’re willing to share, we would be incredibly grateful - this can make a real difference in helping Dana get the care she needs.
There’s no pressure - truly. Whether it’s attending, sharing this, or simply keeping Dana in your thoughts, it all means something.
Thank you for being part of our lives and for holding us up when we need it most.
