Another Month, Another Injection… #8

Another month, another immunotherapy injection… lucky #8! 🍀

This time, I had my NC-resident (by way of Charlotte) best friend since 7th grade, Jen Kraus Rosen, with me for this less-than-48-hour trip to Durham, NC. I even got to sneak in a quick hug with my cousin Craig… a monthly tradition at this point! 💕

Yesterday was mostly a day of travel and hanging out at The Caring House, an incredible discounted lodging facility for Duke patients that I was lucky enough to get into for this visit. It truly feels like a home away from home, and I’m so grateful to have a place like this when I’m in Durham & can get a spot! 🏡

Today ended up being a little longer than expected because the labs were running behind, but we got it all in… labs, appointment, and injection… before jetting back to the airport so I could make it home to my boys tonight. ✈️

Nothing new to report, which in this case is a good thing. Just incredibly grateful that I’m able to fly to NC once a month to continue this treatment. 🙏
