Jack has officially finished 2 weeks of radiation treatments. We've been very busy these last few weeks. We all 4 have started a new diet in support of Jack. Zero sugars, low/no carb & high protein. He's not a big fan but doing good.
Krista has started Cheerleading practices and Jack is going to football practice. He can't actually play but he is becoming one heck of a coach/manager for all his freedom. He runs around and helps them snap on their helmets and run drills!
We also had a swingset build for them both by the Roc Solid Foundation. Tamara Stoud had a big hand in getting this started. All the individuals that helped spoiled both kids! Krista got all kinds of cute girly stuff from a mini Bogg bag & Owala water bottle to lip gloss and gift cards. It was really amazing at how compassionate everyone was.
We made it to a Royals game thanks to Mammy & Papa. We sat by a season ticket holder who caught a game ball and gave it to Jackson. We also got a picture with Slugger which they both loved.
On Friday we meet with his Radiation Oncologist, Dr. Cunningham. She told us that everything looks great and there are NO NEW GROWTHS! Which is amazing. The images from the radiation machine aren't as detailed of the whole brain or spine. So we won't know for sure until the follow up MRI after treatment. But we're still praying for our miracle.
We also got Jack's dream vacation booked! Both kids have asked for a beach vacation for the last few years. We're making it happen! Thanks to family & family friends. We'll be going to St.Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands in September. Right after Jackson is all the way done with radiation.
Jackson has been doing good. He's only having some minor symptoms from the radiation. Tiredness, appetite loss & a little hair loss around the radiation site. But other than that he's been a trooper!
Thank you again to everyone donating and sending us meals. Please keep praying for healing, no new tumors and a miracle cure for this horrible disease.
