Cody's Comeback
Cody’s first week back home has been nothing short of incredible. To hear all the boys laughing together and see them under one roof again…it’s something we will never take for granted.
Cody’s amazing care team met and decided he will officially have his 5th round of chemo next week, November 19–21. It’s the tough one — cisplatin — known for some harsh side effects like nausea, vomiting, and possible permanent hearing loss. We would so appreciate your prayers that Cody’s hearing is protected and that any nausea or discomfort stays under control. 🙏
After that, Cody will have his MIBG scan, which helps us see how much active disease remains in his body. His last score was 26/30, and we need it to be under 10 to move forward with stem cell, but of course, the closer to 0, the better!
And now for some incredible news: Cody’s team took into account his long, unplanned month-long hospital stay and decided that he will get to spend Thanksgiving AND Christmas at HOME!! 🎄🦃🙌 Stem cell transplant (pending scan results) is now scheduled for December 29. We are so beyond thankful and blessed for this gift of time together.
Thank you all for the continued love, prayers, and support. We’ve had many ask about updated needs, and those will be shared as we approach stem cell. 💛
