We decided on going to Northwestern downtown Chicago for the procedure. We got a positive recommendation from Annies cousin who works with the GI team. We also wanted someone familiar with FAP as well as her current condition and it ended up being a perfect fit. We couldn’t be happier with the surgery team, nurses, and rest of the staff here.
She was able to get scheduled June 24th for surgery and were told roughly 3 days until we would be able to go home. The surgery went extremely well and they were able to exceed expectations. The first night went relatively smooth, some lingering effects from anesthesia and soreness but that was all to be expected.
