Today was by far the best day we’ve had since surgery. Annie was looking and feeling significantly better with the NG out. She was able to start the process of working her way up to solid foods by getting to take small sips of water and after a week of cravings, she finally got to have some apple juice. She had a JP drain since surgery that we were afraid would have to go home with, but they were able to pull that out as well. We had some visitors that lifted spirits, and ended the day with the best nights sleep either of us have gotten since surgery.
