Chris Gage and Family
The weekend has been both challenging and hopeful. Today, Chris had to stop taking liquids due to some GI (gastrointestinal, or stomach) issues. He hasn't eaten since Thursday night as well so we hope to solve this soon so he can get back to eating and healing.
He was moved to the Trauma Spine floor. But when we got there, we found out the bed was too small for him! They brought in the bed extension but that was too lumpy. He was approved for a new bed and it should arrive tomorrow and he hopes it should be just right!
We truly hope he will be ready for visitors soon. Until then please leave messages here, text or pics. I share everything with him that is sent and it’s great to see him smile at all his truly humorous friends.
We had an extra blessing today and had a visit from an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. I made friends with the chaplain late at night in the waiting room and her daughter is one of Chris’ PT. She got him on the list quickly.
We can truly see Gods hand in our day and know everything is in his timing. We need your prayers for strength and wisdom for the doctors.
Even with bumps in the road, we are grateful for all the support through text and voicemails. It's not easy, but we are trying to stay positive and take things one step at a time. He continues to build strength every day and we are taking every small stride as a victory!
