Chris Gage and Family
I want to start by thanking all of you for your support and prayers—trust me, they’re working. I got home late last week and have been enjoying every bit of being back that I possibly can. The weather has been fantastic, and the breeze off the creek has been especially welcoming. I'm grateful I didn't miss all of Spring.
I had my first shower in our new outdoor setup (huge thanks to our neighbors). Christine polished my head back to standards with a clean shave. We’ve been adjusting to wheelchair life in the house, figuring out how to clear spaces for my still-developing driving skills. Thank God for the elevator.
We’ve also had visits from a home health nurse, as well as physical and occupational therapy. The goal now is to maintain the momentum I built while at Roper Rehab. The next step will be transitioning back there for outpatient therapy in early May.
We’ll keep you posted with more progress—and hopefully some exciting milestones as they come along. This week I held a coffee thermos in one hand and enjoyed a real cup of coffee! In the meantime, please keep the prayers and positive thoughts coming. I truly appreciate every single one of you. This support page is much needed and has been a huge blessing to our family!
Aldyn and I will be fairing the ropes alone next week as Barbara Raynne joins Christine on a work trip. Aldyn has a lot of interest in learning all the therapy and often walks around in scrubs to get the full effect. Thanks to my talented friends we have our very own handmade therapy table with recycled and new materials.
Last to mention, there will be gathering this Sunday organized by the friends of the Pub. Flyer is attached.
Please join us if you can!
