We have made it a little past one month of being home! Thank you Jesus! We had a little bit of a rough patch where Chandlers seizures came back but glory to god we were able to get an epilepsy specialist to get involved and we did some adjustments to medication. God is healing Chan it’s on his terms and yes my momma heart gets broken and upset but I snap back and tell myself this is not on my terms this is Gods terms. Chandler in the last week has showed healing, he has been so alert and talking, we cannot hear him yet cause he is on the ventilator but he still smiles and is in good spirits through it all, that’s how you know Chandler is a child of God. I am not going to lie this has been hard and will continue to be hard, emotionally, physically, and mentally but I would never want this any other way. God blessed us and trusted us to care for Chandler and that is exactly What we will do. The medical system is horrible, we have had to fight from day one just to receive supplies to care for his wounds so we have been ordering supplies off Amazon. We were told that if Chandler was 21 he would receive 16 hrs a day of nursing care, but because he is 22 he receives none. He does have homehealth that comes in 2x a week to look at the wounds and measure and take vitals. Thank God for those nurses that was provided for us they care about Chandler a lot and wish they could do more for him. I am just so thankful god has allowed for us to bring him home and we can care for him. His sacrum wound just since he has been home has gotten so much smaller and is healing very good. Please keep praying Chandler will gain his mobility back and can start moving again and get strong enough to get off this ventilator. He has recently got fitted for his wheelchair and they are custom building him one and they gave us a loaner chair until his is done we are currently in the middle of trying to get a ramp to be able to get him in and out of the house the chair alone weighs 450 pounds he will be able to go outside with his portable vent and get some sunshine soon
