Early June (June 7–8): Early Symptoms Begin I started experiencing persistent right-sided neck pain, severe fatigue, low blood pressure, and a "floaty" feeling.
-
June 10: First Emergency Room Visit Experienced sudden neurological symptoms including one-sided numbness (lip, arm, tongue), a fast heart rate, and head pain. Treated in the ER for a severe hemiplegic migraine after normal initial bloodwork.
-
June 13: Hospital Admission & Tumor Discovery Returned to the ER after recurrent waves of adrenaline flushes, chest discomfort, and weakness. CT and MRI scans revealed two bilateral brain tumors (meningiomas)—a larger one behind the left eye causing brain swelling and a midline shift, and a smaller one on the right side.
-
Mid-June: Hospital Discharge & Starting Medications Discharged home under specialist care. Started corticosteroids to reduce brain swelling and anti-seizure medication to manage focal aware seizures.
-
Late June: Neurosurgeon Consultation & Treatment Plan Met with the neurosurgeon to finalize the surgical plan:
-
Medication Adjustment: Switched to a different anti-seizure medication to eliminate harsh side effects.
-
Targeted Surgery: Surgery will focus solely on removing the larger tumor behind the left eye, which is causing the pressure and swelling.
-

-
Next Steps: Scheduled the anesthesia pre-op appointment and continuing preparations for surgery in August.

Quick Note for Friends & Family:
"Thank you all so much for keeping us in your thoughts! Right now, my main focus is rest, gentle routines, and soaking up precious time with family. My symptoms and head pain are much less intense thanks to the medication shift, and I'm feeling grounded as we count down to surgery in August!"
