Hey it's Alyssa (One of Caprice's daughters)
I've always believed being raw and real was the best way to be.
I say this because I know I'm constantly wondering what's happening with mom, what happened today, what's the next step or just where were at and what I can be praying for so I am going to try to write a new update each week at least and if I'm able or my sister we may do it by the day or as new situations or news arrives.

I want to first start off by Thanking each and every single one of you that has reached out to us with the most caring messages about our mom and the donations that have been coming in. I know my parents appreciate it because the amount that has already been billed is mind blowing so any kind of relief is seriously a blessing and we can not thank you enough!

This brings me to our first update on Caprice.. mom..
A lot and also not a lot has happened/changed since mom first started experiencing dramatic weight loss and not being able to eat or drink much of anything. Throwing up became her normal every day until she couldn't stop and enough was enough. Dr. appts weren't coming fast enough and we could no longer wait. Fast forward to today... mom has been transferred from one hospital to another where she has been for months now. During this time she has had CT after CT, MRI's, biopsies, EDG, more biopsies and more tests. During this time she was unable to keep anything down even with being on a liquid diet for a long time. At one point "healthy" alkaline water was burning her stomach. This led to a NG tube which has been removed and replaced with a TPN. She has fluid sitting on her stomach that has been causing her to throw up so a GJ tube was going to be placed. During the procedure only the G tube was able to be placed. After this was done.. she finally had relief from throwing up along with another procedure to remove more fluid. During this whole time trying to manage moms pain has been a roller coaster.
Fast forward to the last couple days.. mom is throwing up again and we need her to not be throwing up in order to get this PET scan done to preform it and see where we are at on everything. All we know is what the doctor has seen but not the extent. We will wait to share more on that side of things once the scan is completed and been confirmed.

What we need from you...if you are the praying kind.. please pray that my mom can get this scan done in the hospital that she is at right now this week. That she is no longer in pain and no longer throwing up.
Pray for complete healing.
We have also been praying for my dad, grandpa, grandma and uncles as our family is being hit hard right now.

If you took the time to read this.. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It really does take a village. Our family is hurting and going through so much right now some days seem almost unbearable but I know so many others are too and it makes my heart hurt for each of them. We love you all and appreciate each of you!
