Prayers and Update for Zechariah

Ashley and Travis brought Zechariah back to Children's Hospital last night. Unfortunately, some of the skin from his surgery is dying and will require another surgery.

The doctor said the best-case outcome is that they can remove the dead skin and re-stitch the area. However, it's more likely that he will need either:

1. A skin graft taken from his own thigh, or
2. Additional bone to be amputated.

Option #1 is by far the better outcome, and we're praying that's what will be possible.

Please keep Zechariah and Ashley in your prayers. Ashley has had very little sleep since all of this began, and they both need strength, healing, and peace during this difficult time.

I pray you feel Jesus holding your hands. When we are weak, He is strong, blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted

My heart breaks for all of you. I'm so sorry Zechariah has to go through another surgery. I will be praying specifically that the doctors are able to remove the damaged skin and successfully re-stitch the area, avoiding any further amputation. May God guide the surgeons' hands, provide wisdom in every decision, and bring complete healing to Zechariah. I'm also praying for Ashley and Travisβ€”that God would give them strength when they feel exhausted, peace that surpasses all understanding, and comfort through every step of this journey. May they feel His presence surrounding them and carrying them when they have no strength left of their own. Zechariah has already shown such incredible courage and faith. We will continue believing for healing and trusting that God is with him every step of the way. β€οΈπŸ™
